Open Path Counselling Services provides professional counselling services, information about mental health and wellbeing, and details of the services available.

Counselling Services
Information provided on this website does not establish a counselling relationship. A counselling relationship begins only after an initial consultation has taken place, appropriate paperwork has been completed and an appointment has been agreed. All counselling services are subject to availability.
Fees
Current counselling fees are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time. Any changes to fees will not affect appointments that have already been confirmed.
Booking Appointments
Appointments can be requested through the website, by email or by telephone. A booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from Open Path Counselling Services.
Free Initial Consultation
The complimentary 15-minute online consultation is offered to discuss your needs and determine whether counselling is appropriate. There is no obligation to continue with counselling following this consultation.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice wherever possible.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full unless exceptional circumstances apply. Failure to attend an appointment without notice may also result in the full session fee being payable.
Confidentiality
All counselling sessions are confidential and handled in accordance with professional ethical standards.
Confidentiality may only be broken where there is:

A legal requirement to disclose information.

A significant safeguarding concern.

A serious risk of harm to yourself or another person.
Where appropriate, every effort will be made to discuss this with you first.
Professional Membership
Louise is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and works in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
Online Counselling
Clients choosing online counselling are responsible for ensuring they have:

While every effort is made to ensure secure online sessions, Open Path Counselling Services cannot accept responsibility for internet or technology failures beyond its control.
